Pedagogy
The educational project of the Montessori Bilingual School of Levallois-Perret focuses on children. Indeed, it aims to make them want to go to school and is organized around a specific triptych.
The first objective is to allow all students to master the fundamental knowledge of the kindergarten cycle and to help each child to acquire knowledge and skills using suitable tools.
The second objective is to offer bilingual French-English learning from an early age with a pair of French / English teachers within each class.
Finally, the third objective of the school is to constitute a benevolent place of life opened to the world, which helps children to gain self-confidence, to become independent, to learn to learn. We want to offer children a school where they are happy to come, or their parents are happy to drop them off.
Bilingual education
The nursery school offers children aged 2 to 6 the practice of two languages on a daily basis. The child is immersed in a real bilingual French and English environment. In the classroom, each teacher addresses and makes the presentations to the children in their language.
Students can absorb, discover or deepen the practice of English at their own pace.
Bilingualism has many advantages. But as with the rest of our pedagogy, what seems essential to us is the cultural openness and cognitive stimulation that learning another language implies.
Montessori education
The EMBL uses Maria Montessori's pedagogy as a learning method. This pedagogy is recognized worldwide for its ability to develop the full potential of each child.
Our educational project focuses on providing each student with education that takes into account their own pace of strengths and desires.
Each of the two classes is organized so that the child acts as independently as possible and offers suitable equipment.
Children become actors in their development through selected experiences in a stimulating, warm and caring learning context.
Practical information
Outside school hours, this school offers services to support families: daycare, Wednesdays and school holidays.
This extra-curricular time is a time when the awakening continues in a playful way, in the school premises. Entrusted to a partner who shares our vision of education, the staff is attentive, reliable and innovative. The teams are attentive to the rhythm of each child, serving their well-being.
Children can also have lunch at school. The meal is a moment of sharing and discovery, which is part of the Montessori pedagogy.
The menus prepared and delivered by our supplier mainly offer fresh organic and local vegetables and fruits.
Children are invited to set the cutlery, serve themselves independently and dispose of. They are supervised by the teaching team in this moment of conviviality and mutual aid.
