I am looking for a bilingual nanny

Discover the new Mômji Bilingual Kit

23/08/2021 -

In 2021, the Mômji adventure has taken a new turn: a new brand, a new name, a new visual identity... among many other things!

After (already!) 11 years of expertise in active pedagogies, we have, in close collaboration with the CNRS, a panel of experts and users of our services (teachers, nurses, educational engineers, researchers, families and nannies), developed our own pedagogy!

The latter aims to gently accompany children's development (language, motor skills, sociability...), to help them grow through creative and playful activities, specially designed to stimulate their curiosity and creativity!

Today, in order to familiarize you with this unique pedagogy, Mômji offers you an overview of the contents of its bilingual pedagogical kit, which will accompany thousands of children in their Mômji adventure throughout the 2021-2022 school year!

We wanted it to best represent the values advocated by Mômji, of openness and sharing of passions of cultures, languages ...

Together, let's go on an adventure !

ACTIVITIES TO DO AT HOME

In order to establish a relationship of trust and to create moments of sharing between your nanny and your children, we have included in this kit a whole series of activities to do together at the beginning of the services, ideal for creating bonds, but also for establishing the rules of this time of care!

You will find in your Mômji kit :

- A playful document of the rules of life, to be filled in with the child and your nanny, which aims at establishing together the rules of this shared moment! It is up to them to define them together, taking into account the usual rules respected in the family, but also those they wish to set up (not to shout, to say hello, to look before crossing...).

Even the rules can be a pretext to stimulate their creativity: you can define the rules by drawing pictograms!

- A timetable, ideal to organize the activities of the week. In order to determine the key events of the week, and to establish a fixed and reassuring framework for the child, Mômji provides nannies with a weekly schedule to fill in with the activities and highlights of the day (shower, homework, snack ...).

The objective? To complete it together in the form of pictograms, at the beginning of the services. This exercise will help your child to situate himself in time, but will also be a precious support for your nanny to easily enforce the rules established in the house.

- A family tree, to fill in with family members! Drawing family members in the tree and discussing it with the child is a great way to get to know and bond with the nanny through their respective families, but also to learn the family vocabulary in the chosen language!

- A fun placemat, which helps organize the rules of the meal, and helps the child visualize what to put on the table for snack and dinner.

THE "DISCOVERY OF THE WORLD" ACTIVITY

After the activities to be done together at home, Mômji proposes a new activity, which aims to open your child to the world, and encourages him to travel around.

This is the Mômji passport. There is one for your child, one for your nanny, with all the necessary information: a portrait to draw together, the flag of their country, the physical description to complete ....   This activity is an opportunity for them to talk about their country of origin, but also about the countries they have visited, those they would like to discover...

If your nanny provides Bilingual Immersion care (100% in a foreign language), the passport will serve as a witness to the "journey" they will take together during the childcare, during which they will only express themselves in the target language.

THE GAMES

We have designed a series of educational games that your nanny can use to teach her language in a fun way!

The memory game/Flashcards:

You will find in this case a set of cards on different themes, for a more natural acquisition of vocabulary. Your child will learn to juggle the vocabulary of fruits, weather, house, animals, clothes, human body... but also numbers!

How to play Memory? Turn over the cards on the non-visible side and take turns drawing two cards in order to find the pairs, memorizing their location.

A "Who Is It?" game:

How to play "Who Is It?" Cut out the cards representing various faces provided in the case.

Have the child choose one of the characters and ask questions to guess who it is. Once the answer is found, reverse the roles!

An inclusive Happy Families game:

Eager to open children to the world and to others, Mômji has designed a game of Happy Families, playable in 4 different languages (French, English, Spanish, German ... representing all kinds of family models, to encourage children to be open-minded and empathetic.

You will also find in this kit a whole arsenal of useful supports: an original French/English picture book realized with the Bayard editions, as well as a magnet containing the useful numbers for your refrigerator!
