A typical Savoyard dish (South-East of France), tartiflette is very popular among mountain hikers and skiers. It is a gratin of potatoes and onions, on which reblochon cheese is melted.

For children, it is a recipe that can be interesting to cook during the winter.

The advantage of crêpes is that you can put what you want in it: sugar, chocolate, jam, honey, or even other ideas that you can suggest to children.

They are especially consumed during the Candlemas, in February.

And crêpes means sharing: remember to keep some of them for the parents when they come home!

The perfect dish if you want to encourage children to taste vegetables. The pot au feu contains carrots, onions, salad, potatoes and mushrooms. If you want, you can add other ingredients.

But be aware that by playing on the tastes and colors, you will offer the kids a balanced evening meal.

If you want to push further the consumption of vegetables, or if children do not consume meat for various reasons, ratatouille is a very good option too.

Originally from the south-east of France, she will discover vegetables such as peppers, aubergines, zucchini, which they will taste, especially thanks to the seasoning.

Heading towards Alsace, this Eastern region, famous for its villages and Christmas markets. Its most emblematic recipe is Flammekueche, or flambée pie.

Like pizza, it is easy to make with children, since it involves spreading the dough, adding some ingredients, such as onions or bacon.

And finally for dessert: the famous pie, made for the first time by the Tatin sisters, who originally wanted to make an apple pie.

It means that Tarte Tatin is actually an accident, but will be appreciated by everyone ! Easy to prepare, it is an excellent dessert, or a snack, which they can enjoy with their parents, or at school.
