Tip of the Month: Using your English Attack account with the kids

As part of our partnership with the English Attack edutainment project, all of our employees are receiving free 12-month Premium access to thousands of great entertainment-based educational activities adapted to different language levels for children and teens!

1) Once you receive the email with the access code, you need to create a free user account on the site, making sure you enter the “advantage code”. Every exercise you complete with your student will win them points so they can follow their progress over time!

The video based activities, called Video Boosters, are a great way to end a session, which you can base around the topic of the video
You will have a wide array of choices of videos categorized by theme and English level to help you choose and appropriate one for your student
Once you have watched the video with your student, ask her/him some comprehension questions before continuing
Go through the comprehension, listening, vocabulary, grammar and quiz activities following the video

2) The Photo Vocab section is very interesting as it provides photos on a variety of vocabulary topics that can supplement your lesson or other activities including role playing and mimes

3) The Games section provides various games to improve and develop the student’s vocabulary and comprehension based on that week’s feature video and photo . You can prepare the student for these games by completing that week’s Video booster exercise and then follow up with the games

4) Make sure to integrate English Attack into the planning of the sessions, and not simply as an add on that is connected to the rest of the topics covered in the session

5) Use English Attack support as a treat for the children to use interactive learning tools after introducing the topic of the videos during the session.
