Saint-Maur-des-Fossés is a french municipality located in the south-east suburbs of Paris, in the department of Val-de-Marne, in the region Île-de-France. From the Gauls to the Saint-Mauriens, the city of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés existed even before the creation of France, even if it didn’t have the same name, and it has evolved a lot since then!

For public transport within the town, Saint-Maur-des-Faussés is not to complain because it has direct access to 4 stations of the RER A, those of Saint-Maur - Créteil, the station from the Parc de Saint-Maur, the Garde de Champigny and the Varenne - Chennevières train station giving direct access to Paris, the capital, but also to many cities in the Ile-de-France region. You will also have access to the RATP bus network.

Saint-Maur-des-Fossés also has a very dense network of schools. Indeed, you will be able to find within the city a total of 14 primary schools, 7 secondary schools and 8 high schools, distributed all around the city. But Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, it is not only education, it is also sport, with many sports facilities including 3 main associations and club present in the city : The VGA Saint-Maur, a multi-sports club, the US Lusitanos, a football club and the Stella Sports Saint-Maur, a sports club and its handball section.

The city of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés has a very old history, but unfortunately it left very few traces in the architecture and the monuments of the XXI century ... Indeed, as for the cults and monuments present in the city, we don’t find much except Catholic and Protestant churches. However, you can find the Place des Marronniers, the second largest square in the region after the Place de la Concorde in Paris. In its center there is the Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire church.
