Board games

Obvious but efficient, board games are a true entertainment. They develop children’s awakening and particip to their mental growth. They’re made for all tastes, all ages… its main advantage is its diversity : 

• If the child is young, card games such as Happy Family games will perfectly fit. You can also play “Small horses” or classic card games. 
• If the kid wants to play a mental game, why don't you try a game of Mastermind or Abalone? For the curious ones, you can initiate them to Chest. 
• If the child is really active and has a lot of energy, try some stimulating games such as Hippo gloutons, Totri chenille, or seeking games (The lynx, Times’up)

Hide and seek

You can be young, old, being a few or a lot, you’ll love hide and seek. Everyone has played a game of hide and seek once. Being stashed behind curtains, at the back of a placard… this game stimulates creativity and children’s initiative. 

Hide and seek is also a great way to speak about security and children’s perimeter. Knowing if they have the right to go in a certain room such as parent's bedroom for example. 

Decorate your Halloween pumpkin 

Like every year, Halloween will enclose October. It’s the perfect moment to do Halloween activities. To entertain and develop children’s motor gestures, why don't you prepare your own pumpkin?

Ask a child to draw, on its pumpkin, several forms: eyes with triangles, a mouth full of teeth… then take a cutter and make the cut by yourself (keep the child away from the dangerous objects). Children will help to empty the pumpkin with a big spoon and to decorate it once it’s finished. 

Playful activity (drawing, painting, dancing, singing)

In the creative arts category, every manual and playful occupation are great. It’s an excellent way to develop children’s imagination. 

• Drawing and painting are the most appreciated activities by children. No matter their age, they are still absorbed by their creation. 
• Dancing is also a great proposal even if it requires a little more place. Nevertheless it will be a great way for the child to spend its energy without going outdoors. 
• Singing is the most stimulating for the nanny and the child. By inventing songs and singing children’s favorite music, it will develop their musical ear.

Learning how to cook

Last but not least, what’s better for the parents than coming back home and find out what their child has baked for them? Discovering the cooking, the flavors, the doses really young is an advantage. Simple bakeries or sophisticated meals, cooking is an activity that involves the nanny, the children and the parents.
