Discover the new Mômji Bilingual Kit

In 2021, the Mômji adventure has taken a new turn: a new brand, a new name, a new visual identity... among many other things!

After (already!) 11 years of expertise in active pedagogies, we have, in close collaboration with the CNRS, a panel of experts and users of our services (teachers, nurses, educational engineers, researchers, families and nannies), developed our own pedagogy!

Our goal? To make childcare a privileged moment in the day, for the children in our care as well as for our nannies!

To familiarize you with this unique pedagogy, Mômji offers you an overview of the contents of its bilingual educational kit, which will accompany you and thousands of children during your Mômji adventure throughout the 2021-2022 school year!

We wanted it to best represent the values advocated by Mômji, of openness and sharing of passions of cultures, languages ...

Let's go on an adventure together!

Activities to do at home :

In order to establish a relationship of trust and create moments of sharing with the children you look after, we have included in this kit a whole series of activities to do together at the beginning of the services, ideal for creating links, but also for establishing the rules of this time of care!

You will find in particular :

- A playful document of the rules of life, to be filled in with the child, which aims at establishing the rules of this shared moment together! It is up to you to define them, taking into account the usual rules respected in the family, but also those you wish to set up (not to shout, to say hello, to look before crossing...).

Even the rules can be a pretext to stimulate their creativity: the rules are to be defined in the form of pictograms!

- A timetable, ideal to organize the activities of the week. In order to determine the key events of the week, and to establish a fixed and reassuring framework for the child, Mômji provides nannies with a weekly schedule to fill in with the activities and highlights of the day (shower, homework, snack ...).

The objective? To complete it together in the form of pictograms, at the beginning of the services. This exercise will help the child to situate himself in time, but will also be a precious support for you to easily enforce the rules established in the house.

- A family tree, to be filled in with the family members! Helping the child draw the family members in the tree and discussing it together is a great way to get to know each other and create bonds at the first meeting, through your respective families.

- A fun placemat, which helps organize the rules of the meal and helps the child visualize what to put on the table for snack and dinner.

The "Discovering the World" activity

After the activities to be done together at home, Mômji offers a new activity, which aims to open children to the world, and encourages them to travel around.

This is the Mômji passport. There is one for the child, one for you, with all the necessary information: a portrait to draw together, the flags of your countries, the physical description to complete ....   This activity is an opportunity for both of you to talk about your country of origin, but also about the countries you have visited, those you would like to discover...

If you are doing a Bilingual Immersion program (100% in a foreign language), the passport will serve as a record of the "journey" you will take together during the program, during which you will speak only in the target language.

The games

We have designed a series of educational games that can be used to teach the language in a fun way!

The memory game/Flashcards:

In this case you will find a set of cards on different themes, for a more natural acquisition of vocabulary. Teach the child to juggle the vocabulary of fruits, weather, house, animals, clothes, human body ... but also numbers!

How to play Memory? Turn over the cards on the non-visible side and take turns drawing two cards in order to find the pairs, memorizing their location.

A game of "Who Is It?":

How to play "Who Is It ?" : Cut out the cards representing various faces provided in the case.

Have the child choose one of the characters and ask questions to guess who it is. Once the answer is found, reverse the roles!

An inclusive Happy Families game:

Eager to open children to the world and to others, Mômji has designed a game of Happy Families playable in 4 different languages (French, English, Spanish, German... representing all kind of family models, to encourage children to be open-minded and empathetic.

You will also find in this kit a whole arsenal of useful supports: an original French/English picture book made with Bayard Editions, as well as a magnet containing useful numbers for your fridge!

Finally, don't forget the other teaching aids at your disposal: go to your teaching space to access the many training videos, and you receive teaching activity ideas and advices in your mailbox every 15 days.
