The best place to meet fellow Erasmus students

 

Student Parties Paris and Paris Erasmus Life team up to bring you the Erasmus Welcome Party 2019 every September. Taking place at Le Duplex Club under the gaze of the Arc de Triomphe, 2,000 people will fill the club’s three rooms. 

You’ve missed the event in September? Do not worry: another Erasmus Welcome Party is scheduled every year in February.

Be sure to book soon, the event normally sells out, and deals from €10 with a drink are available if you sign up early enough. 

 

The best place to go outside

 

Party on the Seine

 

There are few more iconic places to party in Paris than the river Seine. Boats dotted along the riverbanks often turn into nightclubs during the weekends and you can head down to the Erasmus Cruise & Boat Party

With a view of the Eiffel Tower, the River’s King boat has two party rooms and an exciting night of activities for Erasmus students. For €10 entry, enjoy a free Mediterranean buffet from 8pm-10pm, a cruise along the river from 10pm-11pm and then the party kicks off after that. 

 

Paris Marathon

 

For its 44th edition, 2020 Paris Marathon will be scheduled on Sunday, 5th April. Attenders will begin the race at the Champs-Élysées, probably the most famous Parisian avenue, and will run for 42,195 km, with new spots on the road, such as Opéra Garnier and Place Vendôme. Other locations include: Place de la Concorde (next to French Parliament), City Hall, the Bastille, and the city of Vincennes, famous for its woods and the castle.

The best place to practice your French 

 

Franglish organises frequent language exchanges between French and English on Meetup. From 7-9pm on Tuesdays at the Lizard Lounge and Wednesdays at L’Autre Café, as well as 6-8pm on Sundays at the MecanoBar, around 30 people attend each event. 

Organisers encourage 14-minute face-to-face exchanges with seven minutes in French and seven minutes in English to ensure the best experience for both parties. What’s more, if you’re a student, enjoy slashed prices that see entry and a drink for just €8.

 

The best place to listen to free music 

 

Music Day

 

Music Day happens every year, on the first day of summer. In 2020, it will be on Sunday, 21st of June. Starting during the evening, and until the morning light, musical amateurs are urged to play music. This is the perfect celebration if you are looking for free concerts. There will be a lot of different events on this day, so be sure to have an overview before, so you will not realize on D-Day that your scheduled events are too far from each other or happening in the same time.
 

We Love Green

If you love Nature, you must go to We Love Green Festival! The 2020 edition will take place from 6th to 7th June, in the famous forest of Vincennes, at the Eats of Paris. The goal of this festival is to combine music and respect of the environment. The organizing team wants to promote tips and tricks for energy and environment management, such as waste management, food and renewable energies. 

 

The best place to dance 

 

Charleston and lindy hop

Have you ever heard about theses dances? They became really fashionable in Paris since a couple of year. During the 20’s, it was very popular in the French popular, and nowadays, a lot of associations, such as Shake that Swing and Brotherswing, are promoting swing courses, especially at the Carreau du Temple, near Republique Square. Remember that Charleston can be danced in solo, but lindy hop is in couple, so don’t forget to bring a friend!
