Saint-Maur-des-Fossés is a french municipality located in the south-east suburbs of Paris, in the department of Val-de-Marne, in the region Île-de-France. From the Gauls to the Saint-Mauriens, the city of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés existed even before the creation of France, even if it didn’t have the same name, and it has evolved a lot since then!

However, you can find the Place des Marronniers, the second largest square in the region after the Place de la Concorde in Paris. In its center there is the Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire church.
