The Illuminations at the Jardin des Plantes

The Jardin des Plantes is a must-visit during your stay in Paris with its fantastic gardens stretching out in front of the Natural History Museum. Until January 15th, the park has a special illumination exhibition to light up the coming winter nights.

Large models of extinct and endangered animals will light up the gardens as spectators stroll round. It’s a sea of colours and fun, with a real point to be made about saving the creatures that near extinction. It’s open from 17h until 22h45 and costs only €12 for students.

If you fancy going in the day for free, the animals won’t be lit up, but you can still see the structures to get a taste of what’s going on!
