Once your visa has expired, you cannot work nor stay in France. Please remember to check your visa expiry date. If you need to renew it, remember that it takes at least 2 months, so plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
If you remain on French territory after your visa has expired, you risk having to pay a fine or being reported when leaving the country. The consulate/embassy will then consider your stay in France as illegal, and subsequent visa applications might be refused.
