What is the cost of studying at a public university in Paris?

Another burning and important question might be: How much does it cost to study at a Parisian university? We have researched and come to the following conclusions.

If you come to Paris as a student participating in an exchange program, you would not have to pay the university here, but you will continue to pay your tuition to your home university. But recently, there has been a change of law that implies that you have to pay the CVEC (Student Life Contribution & Campus), fixed at 90 €. This payment is mandatory and must be paid at the beginning of a program of study.

For students coming from outside the European Union, student social security is compulsory and costs € 217.

For students with a bachelor's or master's degree, you will normally have to pay the same fees as French students. These fees differ by university, program and year. But generally, public universities are relatively inexpensive compared to other countries, and one can think of tuition ranging from 130 to 600 euros per year.
